Reclaiming the 7 Mountains
Have you ever heard of the 7 mountains training? The 7 mountains training subscribes to the belief that Christians have given up ground and territory in seven areas of influence; Arts and Entertainment, Business, Education, Family, Government, Media and Religion.
According to the 2009 Barna Survey;
Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. 50% believe that Satan does not exist, 33% contend that Jesus sinned while He was on earth, 40% say they do not have a responsibility to share the Christian faith with others, 25% dismiss the idea that the Bible is accurate in all of the principles it teaches.
It is terribly interesting to me that far too many of us complain about the things that make their way into our homes through TV and make its way to our children through media and even government. Yet how many of us are determined to do something about it? In fact, we purchase tickets and subscribe to the very things that continue to degrade the moral fibers of our society, which is the family.
